Prof. O'Conner, from the University at Buffalo, will provide an overview of DOT's "best-practices" using Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) for bridge and structure applications. The presentation will summarize the findings of NCHRP Project 20-68A. Please join us for this unique presentation on an emerging technology within the field of civil engineering.

Prof. O'Conner currently serves as the Executive Director of the Institute of Bridge Engineering at the University at Buffalo. His role involves research, teaching and mentoring students as well as professional engagement. He joined the University in 2002 after 20 years with the NYSDOT. His most recent research involved serving on the FHWA virtual team for FRP, TRB Committee on FRP, as a Subject Matter Expert on the FRP Domestic Scan. He has been personally involved in over 15 FRP bridge projects, one of which won a national Chas Pankow Award.
